Wellness Etiquette

West Seattle Wellness is an oasis in the heart of town for relaxation and rejuvenation. To maintain this environment, we ask that all of our clients are respectful of others’ privacy. Kindly speak softly, and deactivate any communication devices, such as cell phones or pagers.

What to Wear for Massage Services

Your comfort and safety are of utmost importance. Our professionally trained therapists will always respect your personal boundaries by appropriately draping areas of your body that are not a focus of the treatment. Please feel free to wear as much or as little clothing as is comfortable during your massage therapy service.

Appropriate Arrival Time

If this is your first visit, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete the necessary intake forms.

Late Arrival Time

If a late arrival is unavoidable, please call the practitioner directly if possible. Or call our main office number and our answering service can contact the practitioner. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, as we must complete your personal service by the designated end-time in order to appropriately accommodate the next client.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment is reserved especially for you. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask that you notify us more than 24 hours in advance. For appointments cancelled within 24 hours, you will be charged the usual session rate.

NSF Policy

We understand that sometimes mistakes happen and a check does not clear. If in the event we should recieve a NSF charge for a check that does not clear, we would appreciate your cooperation in paying the additonal fees that we have been charged from our bank. We will notify you of the amount and simply request that you submit the amount to us as soon as possible.

Special Health Considerations

If you have health concerns or are pregnant, please be sure to notify our staff when booking your treatment. Our staff can offer guidance as to which treatments will be the most beneficial and those that should be avoided due to physical limitations or sensitivity.

Personal Preferences

Whether it is the room temperature, your music choices or the level of massage pressure, please communicate your preferences at the time of booking, or with your therapist so that he or she can make your time with us a special experience.

Gratuities

Our staff is dedicated to exceeding your expectations and creating a memorable experience. Gratuities for these efforts are greatly appreciated and can be either given directly to the staff member, or extended at the reception desk in either cash or on your charge card. Standard practice for excellent service ranges from a 15-20% gratuity. However, the final choice is always up to you.

Payment

Please confirm directly with your provider as to the forms of payment accpted: Insurance Billing, Gift Cards, MasterCard, Visa, checks and/or cash.

Music

At West Seattle Wellness, we can accommodate your musical interest by playing music for you during your treatment from our library songs. Please indicate your preferences and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Age Minimum

Clients must be at least 18 years of age to experience treatment without parental guidance. If under 18, clients must be accompanied by a guardian and can only have treatments performed by therapists of the same gender.
